Dunedin Capital Values 2019 Analysis

The latest Capital Values for Dunedin are now live on our site. Take a look to see how your property has performed compared to the rest of the neighbourhood.

Dunedin has been the rock star of New Zealand’s main centres, with the median HomesEstimate increasing 14% in the last 12 months to $435k. This strong growth is also reflected in the latest Capital Values with the median CV increasing by 44.1% from 3 years ago. The largest increase was seen in North Dunedin’s Dalmore and Liberton, where CVs increased by a massive 62.5% and 60.5%, respectively.

It is important to remember that capital values are only an estimate of a property’s value at a point of time and these large changes highlight how out of date these can become. For a more accurate and up-to-date estimate of a property’s value, we suggest using homes.co.nz’s HomesEstimates. These are calculated each month using up-to-date sales information and track trends in your area.
