T&C’s for the Claim Your Home Giveaway featuring Canopy Camping

We’ve been made aware that, due to a bug, some of you have been unable to claim your home and enter the draw. To make sure everyone has a chance to enter, we’ve extended the giveaway period to 1 July 2023.

Acceptance of these terms & conditions: Canopy Camping Escapes giveaway (Giveaway) is run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me) under the brand homes.co.nz. By entering into the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not enter the Giveaway and you are not eligible to redeem the Prize. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Giveaway or the Prize at any time, without notice to you.

1. Eligibility: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who are 18 years and over. Directors and staff of Trade Me, its related bodies corporate and any agencies or companies associated with Trade Me or the Giveaway are not eligible to enter.
2. Giveaway period: The Giveaway opens on 29 May 2023 (NZST) and closes on 16 June 2023 (NZST) (11.59pm).
3. How to enter: To enter to win, you must claim your home on homes.co.nz before 16 June 2023 (NZST) (11.59pm) (an Entry). When you claim your home you will automatically be entered in the draw. You must not have already claimed your home prior to 29 May 2023. If you have multiple homes each claim will be its own entry. You must not claim a home that does not belong to you, and we might ask for evidence of ownership before accepting your entry or naming you the Winner. In order to claim your home you will need to register with homes.co.nz, if you have not already. Standard homes.co.nz terms and conditions apply to your use of the homes.co.nz website.
4. Prize: There will be one winner (Winner). The Winner will receive a $1,000 Canopy Camping Escapes gift voucher and $1,000 to spend on what they choose (Prize). The Winner will need to provide a nominated bank account number. The Prize will be sent by email (for the gift voucher) and the money will be deposited into the nominated bank account. The Canopy Camping Escapes voucher is non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Trade Me is not involved in the provisions of any services by Canopy Camping Escapes. 
5. Winner notification and announcement:  Trade Me will select a winner from all eligible entries using a random selection tool, and will notify them by sending them an email to the email address linked to their homes.co.nz account. Trade Me reserves the right to select another winner if the initial winner does not respond within 5 working days of notification. Trade Me’s decision regarding the winner is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Publicity: Entrants agree that their name and a description of their prize may be published on homes.co.nz social media, within email marketing or on Trade Me’s websites.
7. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any Prize winner resulting from their entry into the Giveaway or receipt or use of the Prize (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant or Winner will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to $500.
8. Other terms: The Trade Me terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply with all necessary modifications to the Giveaway and (if relevant) the use of any Prize.
9. Privacy Act: Trade Me will collect and hold personal information such as name and email address in order to notify you if you win, and your bank account number if you are the Winner, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in accordance with Privacy Act 2020. When you interact with the homes.co.nz website, their Privacy Policy applies.
